Log a dose from a reminder
Reminders are Time Sensitive, so they show through any Focus that allows Time Sensitive notifications. Most reminders let you log a dose without opening the app.
How do I log a dose from a reminder?
Use the reminder’s own actions, or tap it to open the app. Recording the dose there clears the reminder for everyone reminded, on every device. A dose that couldn’t be saved is never shown as taken: another notification says it wasn’t recorded, and the dose stays due.
- When the reminder arrives, touch and hold it to see its actions.
- Tap Taken to record the dose; your iPhone asks you to unlock it first. A reminder for several of a child’s doses doesn’t offer it: tap the reminder to record them in the app.
- Tap Snooze to be reminded again later. A reminder for a single dose also offers Skip, which opens the app to say why it wasn’t given.
Everyone reminded sees it
When a dose is shared with others who can give it, they’re all reminded. The first to log it clears the reminder for everyone, and the app shows who gave it and when.
When it can’t be saved
If a dose recorded from a notification can’t be saved, the app never reports it as taken. A follow-up notification says it wasn’t recorded, and the dose stays due until it’s logged.
Several at once
Two or more medications due at the same moment for one person arrive as one notification. It can record them all or snooze them, but not skip them; for a child, it can only snooze them. Opening it lets you log them together, or say why one wasn’t given. See Log several doses at once.
